Early Morning Car Fire - NB Bay Road

At 06:51 hours on July 5th, Station 55 (Magnolia) was alerted for a vehicle on Northbound Bay Road. Command 55 (Asst. Chief Vautard), and EMS Captain (Cpt. Leech), Engine 55-5 (Asst. Chief Rhodes) with a crew of 4, and Engine 55-3 with a crew of 3 (FF Thompson) made the response to find a small passenger car with fire in the engine compartment. The crew from Engine 55-5 extinguished the fire, while the crew from Engine 55-3 made access to the engine compartment. Units remained on scene for 38 minutes. Units on Scene: Command 55, EMS Captain 55, Delaware State Police, Engine 55-5, Engine 55-3, and Delaware State Fire Police.
