Structure Fire Assist Station 40 - Skeeter Neck Road

On March 10, 2011 at 22:53 hrs. Station 55 was alerted to assist Station 40 (Bowers) for the report of a working structure fire along with Station 49 (Frederica). Engine 55-3 (Asst. Chief Vautard) went responding at 22:58 hrs. with a full crew followed shortly by Tanker 55 (Chief Sipple). Command 40 went on location with a working fire and accepted a full response from Station 55 bringing Engines 55-4 and 55-5 and also Rescue 55-1. All units on scene conducted an aggressive interior attack while having to deal with water supply issues. The fire was brought under control with units working to conduct an extensive overhaul operation of the structure. All 55 units returned to quarters at 01:22 hrs. The members would like to thank Station 41 (Camden-Wyoming) for providing the cover up for the 55 fire district while units were busy working and also for assisting with filling Engine 55-5 for water shuttles.
