MVC - South State Street

On 20 November 2009, at 1707, station 55 was dispatched to an MVC (Motor Vehicle Collision) on South State Street and West Birdie Lane. Upon arrival, Engine 55-4 under the command of 2nd Assist Chief Scott Vautard assumed command and began to direct the MVFC Fire police to close a portion of South State St for scene safety. Rescue 55-1 arrived shortly thereafter under the command of 1st Assist Chief Adam Gillespie to begin incident clean-up. Command placed the scene under control and turned the incident over to the DSP (Delaware State Police).
