Assist Station 48 w/ House Fire - 52 Maple Shade Dr

At 0018 hours, Kent Center dispatched Stations 48 (Felton) & 55 (Magnolia) for a reported house fire. Engine 55-4 responded at 0023 hours, with 1st Assistant Chief Gillespie and a crew of 5, followed shortly after by Engine 55-3 with FF Preszler and a crew of 5. While units were en route, Kent Center advised the caller had stated that there was a fire on the second floor, and they believed they had the fire out. Engine-Rescue 48-1 arrived on scene and pulled an 1 ¾” crosslay, advancing to the second floor. Tanker 48-5, Engine 55-4 and Engine 55-3 arrived shortly after. Crews found a smoke condition in the house, and an already extinguished fire on the second floor. Crews from 55-4 and 55-3 assisted with ventilation, overhaul and repacking. All 55 units cleared the scene at 0057, and were in quarters at 0107.
